“Children of God.”

“Children of God.”

I pray daily; “Thank You, God, for giving me the right to call myself a child of God“. I recognize that I only have the right to come to God in prayer in the first place because I am a child of God. and I say a heartfelt, “Thank You.”

If I were not a child of God I would have no right to ask for His love, to ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the guidance and protection that comes with being in the Spirit. Where would I go when I need to pray for those whom I love? Where would I go?

John 1:12
I am God's child.
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

Where would I go for comfort, guidance and love if I were not a child of God?

Romans 8 (New International Version)
16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

I rest in the comfort of God’s unconditional love. I find peace in knowing that He loved me before I even existed, that there is a portion of God’s love that is mine alone.

Ephesians 1:3-8 (New International Version)
Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
5he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
8that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Romans 8:31-39 (New International Version)
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I thank you, Lord, that nothing can separate me from your love. I thank you, Lord, for your sweet peace and joy. I pray the peace that comes with the knowledge of your love for all within my circle. I pray your peace for my earthly family and for my church family .

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (New International Version)
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
20We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

I pray that each of you is comfortable in the knowledge that you are truly “Children of God.”
