God is immutable

9.God is immutable. All that God is, He has always been. All that He has been and is, He will ever be. He cannot change because He is perfect and will remain perfect.
Psalm 102:25-28 (New International Version)
25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.
28 The children of your servants will live in your presence;
their descendants will be established before you."

This is probably one of the hardest concepts to hold when we try to understand God and put Him into terms that we can grasp. God always was. There is no time when God didn’t exist. We can not go back and count the beginning of time or the beginning of God.

Every good gift, says St. James, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1: 17).

In Hebrews it is again stated that, Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath; that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us (Heb. 6: 17, 18). "

The Eternal God who revealed Himself as the I AM to Moses, is the I AM of today, "infinite, eternal, unchangeable, in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth."

God, I thank You for being who You are. I thank You for the promise of eternal life in Your presence. I thank You for being an eternal God who is worthy of all praise. I thank You for growing discernment and ask greater and greater wisdom when studying Your Word.

May God Forever Be a Blessing in Your Life!!!
